AT3

Presentation

The AT3 is an integrated stereo amplifier, which exists in 2 quality levels : see the "Customisation" section.

Principle :

• It comes closest to reproducing triode sound with a tetrode, thanks to a configuration specially designed by Tosca.

Components :

• Power tubes : 6V6
• Input tubes : 6SL7 (after comparative listening, these tubes were selected for their harmonious blend).
• Transformers and inductors custom made by a specialist familiar with our high level of standard.

Circuit :

• Input stage is "pure triode" featuring the high quality 6SL7 tube with very low microphonic effect.
• Output stage is a parallel single ended, pure Class A configuration.
• The circuit is totally streamlined and for optimal signal transmission there are few components but they are all the finest available.
• Localised feedback only concerns the output stage and therefore secondary effects are minimised.

Chassis :

• The chasis is manufactured using thick aluminium plates which are closely assembled to ensure perfect stability.
• All wiring is hand-wired point to point in our workshops.

Rear panel connectors :

• 4 stereo line inputs (RCA rhodium)
• Stereo output (WBT platinum)
• Power switch On/Off/On with phase inverter

 

Customization

Customisation requests must be specified when ordering.

Updating the order at the later stage remains possible but it includes extra shipping costs.

System suggestion

  Tosca speakers :

• Ideal combination with the Aria 4.
• It can be associated with the Aria 5, leaving you the possibility of upgrading to a more powerful amplifier at a later stage.
  

Other brand speakers :

• We advise you to select only high quality models, with simple filters and with adequate efficiency (above 90 dB).

Source:

• A first level possibility is the NAD C525BEE Cd Player, which already allows full enjoyment of the AT3's quality performances.
• In its improved "Tosca inside" version, however,the resulting sound quality proves to be a better match for the AT3's outstanding qualities.
